Our gardening service is a scheduled, no-nonsense maintenance round designed for Ayrshire homeowners who want their garden to look its best every week — without lifting a finger. Each visit covers grass cutting to your preferred height, edges defined with a half-moon, weeding of borders and paths, hedge tidying within reach, and a full clean-down of the working area before we go.

We work to a fixed visit schedule — weekly through summer, fortnightly in shoulder seasons, monthly in winter — and the price you're quoted is the price you pay, every visit.

In Detail
Different gardeners mean different things by 'maintenance'. Here's exactly what's covered on a standard Roots & Lawns gardening visit in Ayrshire, and the variations we offer for different garden sizes and customer types.
Cut to your preferred height (we recommend 30-40mm in peak growth, 50mm+ in drought, and a final cut at 35mm in October). Blades sharpened weekly so the grass is cut clean, not torn. Edges trimmed with a strimmer or half-moon every visit. Clippings collected and removed — never left to mat and feed moss. Residential plans run on a fixed visit cycle with a single point of contact. For landlords, agents and holiday-let owners we offer dated photo reports after every visit, monthly invoicing, and a guaranteed pre-changeover slot so the garden's tidy for every new arrival. Spring scarification and overseeding, summer hanging-basket watering, autumn leaf clearance, gutter clearing from ground level, and a full winter tidy with cut-back and mulch. These can be added to a maintenance plan or booked as one-offs.
